Competition Teams at Let’s Dance Studios
At Let’s Dance Studios, our Competition Teams are designed for dancers who are passionate about growth, performance, and teamwork. Team dancers receive advanced training, perform throughout the season, and represent the studio at regional competitions in a positive, supportive environment.
Competition team participation is a commitment and is best suited for dancers who are motivated, reliable, and eager to challenge themselves.
Season Auditions
Step 1: Complete an interest form or contact the studio
Step 2: Schedule an audition or evaluation
Step 3: Receive team placement
Step 4: Review commitment details and register
Auditions are free. Dancers should wear fitted dance attire and bring all dance shoes.








Team Levels & Placement
Dancers are placed by age, skill level, performance quality, and commitment. Placement is determined through audition or evaluation.
Novice Team
• Ideal for dancers new to competition
• Focus on fundamentals, confidence, and performance skills
Intermediate Team
• For dancers with prior competition or strong technical background
• Increased training and performance expectations
Elite Team
• Advanced dancers with strong technique and performance ability
• Highest level of commitment and training
Competitions
Our teams attend regional competitions within driving distance when possible. Some events may require travel. Specific competition names and dates are shared with families once teams are finalized.
Nationals are optional and based on qualification, interest, and team readiness.
Season Overview & Time Commitment
Season Length: August through May
Weekly Commitment (average):
• Team rehearsals: 3–4 hours per week (varies by level)
• Required Ballet & Technique classes (mandatory for all team dancers)
Additional Commitments:
• Monthly extra rehearsals
• Studio events, parades, and team bonding activities
• 3 regional dance competitions (Approx. Jan.–May)
• Optional national competition (every other year)
Attendance is extremely important. Competition teams require consistent participation to ensure the success of the group.

Costs & Financial Expectations
Competition team involves additional expenses beyond recreational classes, including:
• Monthly team tuition • Costume fees • Competition entry fees • Shoes and accessories • Travel expenses (if applicable)
Cost varies by level and number of routines. Detailed pricing and payment schedules are provided after placement.

Important Expectations
• Dancers must be enrolled in required Ballet/Technique classes
• Competition attendance is mandatory unless otherwise approved
• Team behavior should reflect studio values of respect, teamwork, and dedication
A full commitment agreement is provided upon acceptance
